“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”
Psalm 133:1 (NKJV)
Small Groups
Small groups are an extension of the Sunday morning service.
Every second Sunday of the month, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., church members gather in the small group leaders’ homes for a discussion of the Sunday morning sermon. After the “round-table” refreshments are served, and everyone has fun fellowshipping with the other members of the group.
Men’s Ministry
Our desire is to provide opportunities for men to have open and honest hearts before God and one another. We engage in various gatherings of men for Bible studies, prayer, sharing, fun, and fellowship.
As we pretend less and less, and expose areas of darkness in our lives, God will show us who we really are and how He sees us. This is not to make us feel guilty and push away from God, but to help to humble us and encourage us to turn to God and make things right.
As we confess our faults and weaknesses to one another and pray for one another, God will use other flawed and weak men to help bear our burdens and restore us to God, peace, and a clear conscience. With the help of God and one another, we can learn to resist the temptations of the flesh and build walls to guard our hearts from evil.
As we sow to the spirit, from the spirit we will reap the life of God. In our weaknesses confessed, His strength will be made perfect and we can have consistent growth in Christ.
We are looking forward with great expectation to what God will continue to do during our Men’s group events and to our continued personal growth in Christ.
“Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For each one shall bear his own load.”
– Galatians 6:1-5 (NKJV)
Women’s Ministry
Prayer, teaching, discipleship, and fellowship are the focus of the women’s ministry of Victory Christian Fellowship Church.
The ongoing theme, “Lord, work in me and through me,” is being realized through monthly intercessory prayer meetings, and through Holy Spirit-led teaching of the Word, with its spiritual and practical applications.
It is our desire to provide a safe haven of hope, encouragement, nurturing, and mentoring for all of the women at Victory – from the teenage girls to the eldest ladies – and to see these women grow and mature into godly women, as well as committed wives and mothers as outlined in Titus 2:4-5.
Annual activities include weekly Bible studies, our summer picnic, women’s conferences, and our winter banquet.
Youth Group
The teaching in our youth group is Spirit-led, and deals with life’s issues directly, without compromising the truths of God found in His Word.
Emphasis is placed on developing our young men and women into the future leaders of Christ’s Church, encouraging these young Christian warriors in their daily battles against the current cultural flow, for the glory of Jesus Christ.
The youth program at Victory Christian Fellowship Church is for young men and women between the ages of 13 and 18. The group meets on Wednesday evenings during regular church services, with a monthly prayer meeting on the second Saturday evening of each month. As time permits, special camp-outs or other gender-specific events are offered.
God Squad
It is our goal in Wednesday evening God Squad to help our preteen kids build a strong relationship with Christ.
We believe the best way to do that is through studying the Bible to learn what God has to say about Himself, about us, about the world around us, and about how we should live our lives in it.
We strive to instill a curiosity toward, and a love for God’s word.
It is our hope that this time of studying together to find answers in God’s word will train our preteens to look to God on their own, not only in the potentially tough teen years that soon await them but throughout their whole lives.
Bible Adventure Hour
What exactly is Bible Adventure Hour?
The name says it all!
Wednesday evenings provide a Biblical adventure for children ages 3-8.
Through crafts, art, story-time, and games, the Bible is presented in an engaging way that keeps the children coming back for more!
Children’s Church
“Children’s Church” is the Sunday morning expression of ministry to our children aged three through eleven years old. We have three classes that meet every Sunday: The 3-4 year-old class, the 5-7 year-old class, and the 8-10 year-old class. Our 11-12 year-old class meets only on the first and last Sunday of each month.
The motto for the classes is Psalm 127:3-4, “Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD; the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one’s youth.”
As ministers to the “Heritage from the LORD,” we take seriously the mandate to instruct and care for His kids in a safe, excellent, and loving environment. We desire for our efforts in Children’s Church to complement the Godly instruction children receive in the home, and ultimately help parents in constructing a firm biblical foundation in the hearts of the kids they entrust to our care.
